RV Camping Must Haves - Bathroom

After three years of recreational camping, I’ve collected a series of “must haves” that I finally feel qualified to share. A little history, I grew up in a camping family. My parents are still avid campers, taking cross country trips multiple times a year. My husband and I had dreams of doing the same thing with our kids and we finally made it happen in 2020. We started with a pop-up camper, just to get our toes wet, and we jumped in full force less than a year later. We’ve had our current rig since fall of 2020 and have no plans of upgrading anytime soon. Our plan is to enjoy it for a minimum of 5 years and then we’ll consider an upgrade. In the meantime, we have modified and added things that make it more comfortable. My goal is to remain cost effective in the process. Without further ado, here are my favorite things. I would be remiss not to mention that each of these links are through my Amazon Affiliate account and I can earn from qualifying purchases.

Comprehensive Camper Amazon Idea List

Click the link above to see the whole list without reading through my post, but if you like a good read keep on keepin’ on. In my first ever “viral” video (my definition of viral is anyone beyond my sister in law and mom) - I gave some quick thoughts on bathroom organization hacks. I can’t put all the things here, so I’ll do a couple of parts for each space just to keep things simple.

My number one complaint about any shower ever is the shower head. I change them all in my house right away and I changed it in my camper. If you have long hair, you need to be able to change the settings to get the water pressure needed to get all the shampoo and conditioner out of your hair. We went with the Camco Shower head with the on and off switch. You can find it here.

Next would be the sink faucet. It’s so low and the sink is so small that when I went to wash my face at night the water would just run down my arms to the floor and my head couldn’t fit in - hot mess. I finally convinced Nick to get a new sink in there. This is the one that we chose.

Shower storage is a big deal. I don’t travel with supplies in the baskets, but when we park I put all the things in the shower. It’s got hooks to hang washcloths on to dry and I really trust the adhesive to hold firm. I use one in the shower and another one on the wall next to the sink to hold my hair dryer and curling iron. You can find them here.

Narrow baskets are hard to come by for the REALLY narrow cabinets we have. I’ll roll up our towels to store and them there and then I’ll use these fabric baskets to keep things organized in the space.

More posts with other areas of the camper will come soon! For now, I leave you with these. It’s time to turn in so that we can spend another day on the beach. I’ll probably share some of my beach thoughts here, as well :)
